The Maxwell School offers three professional degrees: the master of public administration; the master of arts in international relations; and the M.P.A./M.A.-I.R., pursued as a joint degree.
And, for midcareer professionals, the Executive Education program offers a master of arts in economics, international relations, political science, or public administration.
Maxwell is
the only major school of public and international affairs in the country that
places professional training in the context of all the social sciences. P.A. and
I.R. exist alongside departments of history, anthropology, sociology, political
science, and the like; and alongside major interdisciplinary research units such
as the Center for Policy Research and the Global Affairs Institute.
You
will master the rigors of policy analysis and decision-making, integrating
theoretical and practical knowledge into a truly
broad
understanding of the world of public affairs, both domestic and international.
You will gain perspective. (To make it all more tangible, you have the option of earning a
concurrent degree that includes an academic discipline.)
And that's just the beginning. Here are three more ways—immediate and practical ways—Maxwell is different: Personal attention, Facilities, and the Alumni Community.
