You’re Invited!

Every year, the Economics Department offers many ways for students to meet other Economics majors, Econ faculty, and even alums.  Here are a few upcoming events that you may want to put on your calendar.

  • Special Event! Q&A With Career Services for Economics Students: This event is for all Economics students, but sophomores and juniors are especially welcome.  Learn how to get a jump on the job-hunting process.  Syracuse University’s Center for Career Services is rolling out new services for Arts & Sciences students.  Come meet Mr. Mike Cahill, Director of the Career Center, to see how his office can help you take charge of your future.  Pizza and soda will be served.  This event will be held April 15 at 6 p.m. in Eggers 112.

  • MayFest Presentations: Five graduating seniors are busy preparing their Distinction projects for presentation during MayFest, April 22.  Consider dropping by Eggers 010 to find out what these students have learned about China, mega-malls, the illegal drug trade and more. Presentations start at 9:00 and a buffet lunch will be served at 12:00.  Come to see one presentation or all.

  • Omicron Delta Epsilon Dinner: If you have been invited to join ODE or were inducted last year, please join us for a dinner on April 17 honoring members of this international honor society.  See inside for more information on this year’s guest speaker.
