Conflict Management Center- Group Facilitation Workshop

 The Conflict Management Center is proud to announce our next workshop in our conflict skills series, “Group Facilitation." This free workshop will be held SUNDAY, MARCH 1; the facilitation training may provide opportunities to serve as small group facilitators in public engagement events in the greater Syracuse community in the future. Breakfast snacks and lunch are included. The details are as follows.

Sunday, March 1, 204 Maxwell (across from Executive Education)
10am - 2pm: Group Facilitation
 
This extremely hands-on and interactive workshop will highlight basic facilitation skills. Participants will receive a general introduction to group facilitation and will provide you with a great opportunity to learn and develop facilitation skills that will serve as a foundation for working with diverse groups both in professional and community outreach settings.
 
The general outline of topics to be covered includes: General Facilitation Theory, Basic Meeting Structure, Listening in a Group Setting, Group Management, Recording for Facilitated Meetings, Time Management, Priority Setting, and Force Field Analysis.

The workshop will be presented by Dr. Tina Nabatchi, who is Associate Professor in the Department of Public Administration and International Affairs.
 
 
The workshop is FREE and OPEN to all! Light breakfast provided with Lunch catered by Appethaizing!
