Indefinite Quality Contracts (IQCs)
Indefinite Quality Contracts (IQCs) are sector-based contracting mechanisms used by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) to simplify procurement processes for USAID Missions. IQCs enable USAID Missions to rapidly secure services by a pre-approved list of contractors. Executive Education and the Maxwell School are sub-contractors on the following active IQCs:
Democratic Local Governance (DLG) IQC
The Democratic Local Governance (DLG) Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC) is the principal mechanism used by USAID field missions to procure technical services in the areas of decentralization, participatory government and public management. Maxwell is subcontractor to ARD on this IQC. Under this contracting mechanism outstanding political scientists, public policy and public management specialists, public finance economists and other sector specialists provide short- and long-term technical services in support of decentralization policy reform, local government capacity building and citizen participation. The DLG IQC is active until July 2010

BRDG IQC Technical Assistance
The Building Recovery and Reform through Democracy Governance (BRDG) Indefinite Quality Contract (IQC) is designed to support USAID’s effort to promote democratic governance by reinforcing state legitimacy, improve state capacity for effective public management, and facilitate critical policy and institutional reforms. Maxwell is subcontractor to ARD on this IQC. The BRDG IQC is active until September 2010 and has a ceiling of $750,000,000.
