Visiting Scholars Application and Admission Information

Admission Requirements

Field Experience - Applicants should have 7 or more years of mid-level professional experience, including management responsibilities with some public sector work preferred.

Deadline - Applications should be submitted for the Fall semester by February 1, for the spring semester by August 15

Interview - Prospective applicants of any program are welcome to visit Syracuse, although personal interviews are not required. Fees and Expenses

The Visiting Scholar fee is $4,800.00 per semester.

Admissions Information - The Visiting Scholar may be in residence for one or more semesters. During that period, Fellows audit graduate courses offered by the Maxwell School, take part in seminars, and conduct research project in collaboration with an interested faculty member, and participate in lectures and special events.  All University facilities are open to the Fellows. Visiting Scholars may choose to study English at the University’s English Language Institute for an additional fee.  After the period of residence, the Visiting Scholar receive a certificate to acknowledge completion of the Fellows program.
