Representatives from Executive Education Program at the Maxwell School met with a delegation from Shanghai municipal government in New York City to explore collaborative opportunities in short-term training program for government officials in Shanghai.

The Maxwell School hosts its annual Chinese Directors-General Program in the United States, as a part of the three-month training program the participants attend at CNSA. The program will provide the participants with background and perspective on the U.S. government and economy, supplemented by visits to local, state and federal agencies and businesses to demonstrate theory in practice.

The Maxwell School hosts the third GE sponsored CNSA Directors-General Program in the United States on the topic “government and economy.” In addition to intensive classroom instruction in Beijing, the course of study includes a two-week international training and travel component. The Maxwell School has been designated by the CNSA as the host institution in the United States.
The program will provide the participants with background and perspective on the U.S. government and economy, supplemented by visits to local, state and federal agencies and businesses to demonstrate theory in practice.

The professor will conduct research on leadership and management in public sector. In preparation of CNSA’s launching of MPA program this fall, he will also study curriculum design and observe how public administration courses are taught at the Maxwell School.
