MSSC Admissions
Application Information, Requirements and Process
Deadline - Applications to the MSSc program are reviewed and accepted on a rolling basis. It is suggested that applications should be submitted for the Fall semester by February 1, for the Spring semester by August 15.
Interview - Prospective applicants of any program are welcome to visit Syracuse, although personal interviews are not required. Transferring credits - Applicants may request transfer of up to 6 credits of graduate-level coursework completed at an accredited graduate institution. The coursework may be considered if it was completed within 7 years of the student’s graduation date from the Master of Social Science program.

- Personal Statement - 3 page background and desire of nominee to participate in the program
- Official transcripts - from graduate and undergraduate studies
- 3 Letters of Recommendation – (for recent students 2 letters should be from faculty)
- Application Fee - $75.00 (non refundable)
- GRE Scores: Not required
- TOEFL Scores: 580 (written test), 237 (computer-based test), 92-93 (internet-based test) minimum for unconditional admissions
