Maxwell School announces 3 year partnership with Indian Forest Service
Maxwell
School announced a new three-year partnership with the Indian Forest Service to
train officers at the Chief Conservator of Forests (CCF) and Additional
Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (APCCF) level. The officers participating in the program
will have approximately 24+ years of experience and fill some of the highest
levels within the Indian Forest Service.
The
IFS Phase V program will focus on developing the officers’ understanding of
the changing scene for environmental policy making and implementation internationally and domestically – with a focus on developing
leadership and management skills to help them implement these changes.
This
program is jointly run by the Maxwell School and IIM Bangalore, with additional
assistance from SUNY Environmental Science & Forestry and the Faculty of
Forestry at the University of British Columbia.
SUNY ESF, one of the top ranked Environmental Science and Forestry
colleges in the U.S., is assisting Maxwell with the U.S. study tour and the
Faculty of Forestry at the University of British Columbia is assisting with the
Canadian study tour.
