National Security Studies (NSS) hosts 41 participants for the National
Security Management Course 2008
The 2008 National Security Management Course was in session
from April 27 to May 9 at the Maxwell School of Syracuse University.
This year’s course featured 41 participants from across the United States
and abroad.
These senior leaders, both military and civilian, came from the public
and private sectors and typically work in some area of national security
for their respective organizations.
They were exposed during the two week program to 42
expert guest speakers on a variety of national security-related topics
such as: strategic challenges in homeland security, terrorism, crisis
management, and public diplomacy, among others.
With the completion of the program, NSS believes these professionals will be better prepared for
tackling the wide range of issues they will confront daily as leaders in
the national security field.
