Master in Social Science Students attend two week residency at Maxwell School for Citizenship and Public Affairs

For two weeks in July, the Executive Education Programs welcome the Master in Social Science (M.S.Sc.) students to the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs for a two week Residency from July 14—July 25.

Founded more than 30 years ago, Syracuse University's innovative Master of Social Science Degree Program features an interdisciplinary approach to broad social science problems based on a comparative analysis of the world’s major cultural areas. The specially designed program, which is administered through Syracuse University's continuing education division, requires two two-week residency periods, and therefore suits students whose careers make traditional classroom study impossible.
 
Ranging from Professors , High School and Middle School Teachers to Captains in the Army, Marines and Air Force the M.S.Sc. students fly in from all over the United States to partake in the two week residency.

The annual M.S.Sc. on-campus, two-week residency at the Maxwell School of Syracuse University is held each July, with orientation on Sunday and the session ending on Friday.

During the first two-week residency in Syracuse, students spend a two-day weekend of lectures and discussion at Minnowbrook Conference Center, Syracuse University's conference center on Blue Mountain Lake in the Adirondack Mountains, as part of the required Residency Seminar.
