Exed alumni presents paper on Budget reform and
global governance in Marrakech, Morocco
Executive Education alumni Carmen Apaza presented a paper at the 10th
International Conference for Budget Reform and Global Governance held in
Marrakech, Morocco, January 22 to 24, 2009.
Apaza's paper talked about active transparency and its impact on
governments. This is an idea currently in active project at the
Organization of American Studies where Apaza serves as a consultant. She
credits a joint article with Dr. Michel Johnston for the idea of active
transparency.
The 3 day conference discussed and heard on topics related to several
countries like Algeria, Mali, Congo, Burkina Faso, Tunisia, and Morocco.
Apaza's paper on corruption and governance measurement has also been
published in French and English by two prestigious journals: the Reveu
Francaise dadministration Publique, and PS --a journal of the American
Political Science Association (APSA). |
