Support For Critical Needs

Since 1995, the Maxwell School of Syracuse University has been ranked by U.S.News & World Report as the top public affairs graduate program in the U.S.  Unlike its peer institutions, the Maxwell School has achieved its status as the top-ranked institution for public and international affairs despite a modest endowment.  Through the wise allocation of resources, Maxwell offers high quality programs and initiatives that are crucial elements of our commitment to public scholarship, citizenship education and global engagement.

Why Maxwell Needs YOUR Help
To sustain Maxwell’s high academic standards, cherished traditions, and impressive national rankings, the Dean of the Maxwell School relies on the support of alumni and friends.  Through donations to the Maxwell Annual Fund and the Dean’s Discretionary Fund, Maxwell’s Dean makes strategic investments that immediately address the most urgent needs of students and faculty.  These investments will be chosen for their ability to strengthen the School as well as broaden and enrich the learning experience of our students.

Ways you can provide support for Critical needs
Through a donation to the Dean’s Discretionary Fund or the Annual Fund, alumni and friends of the Maxwell School can provide critical, time-sensitive support for any of the Maxwell School’s funding priorities.  Although the ratio for how much is spent on scholarships versus academic initiatives or new faculty changes from year to year, these priorities always represent areas central to Maxwell’s mission and rely on significant external support.
