Giving Opportunities
A gift to the Maxwell School
is an investment in what is at the very core of Maxwell - a commitment to the
common good. Opportunities to support our mission are as diverse as
the alumni who have passed through Maxwell’s halls. Please feel free to
contact Gary Livent to discuss how a giving opportunity can be tailored
to meet your personal and philanthropic goals.
Maxwell’s funding priorities
fall into six general categories:
-
Support for Critical Needs
A contribution to our Annual Fund or
Dean's Discretionary Fund allows us to make crucial, time-sensitive investments
in the programs and people that are at the heart of our commitment to public
scholarship, citizenship education and global engagement.
-
Scholarships and Fellowships
Recruiting
top-notch young scholars and providing them with opportunities to interact with
faculty and develop their skills as future policymakers, academics, or public
servants is a top priority.
-
Expansion of Citizenship and Democracy Core
Courses Expanding Maxwell’s highly
acclaimed undergraduate “signature” courses in citizenship will allow us to
provide all Syracuse University students with the foundation and skills they
need to become active and engaged civic leaders locally or in communities around
the world.
-
Faculty Research and Development Funds
Support for teaching, research and curricular development at the Maxwell School
allows us to nurture the research and careers of our most productive scholars.
-
Endowed Professorships and Named Chairs
These visible and highly-coveted positions allow us to attract and retain the
top-quality scholars, outstanding teachers, nationally-recognized researchers,
and experienced practitioners that comprise the Maxwell School faculty.
-
Program Support Support can be directed to specific programs or
divisions within the Maxwell School, providing support to the programs and
centers that made an impact on your life.
