Computing Support Overview
Getting Help
The ICT Help Desk is located in Eggers Hall room 034A and is open Monday - Friday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. The Help Desk is where students can come to ask questions and get hands-on help with computer, email or account related issues.
Support is also available via phone and email (315-443-3847 / service@maxwell.syr.edu) *
* Hours of support are Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm
(8:00 am to 4:30 pm during the summer semester)
Email & Computing Accounts
For email, Maxwell uses Syracuse University's Exchange / SU Mail systems. Computing accounts are Syracuse University's NetIDs. Help on each of these systems can be found below:
Printing and Print Quotas
ICT oversee the printers installed in Maxwell and Eggers Halls. Students printing should make themselves aware of the fees for the printer they are using. Staff and faculty should contact their home department or email service@maxwell.syr.edu for answers to their questions.
Wireless Network
Both Eggers and Maxwell halls have full (100%) 802.11n wireless network coverage. The primary (and preferred) wireless access is AirOrangeX.

Network File Storage
Maxwell users have access to both personal file storage (H-Drive / My Documents) as well as network shared file storage (G-Drive).

Available Software
From the latest Office productivity software to Statistical software to web and multimedia development applications, Maxwell provides the tools you need to do your work. Here's a snapshot of some of the available applications (please note that not all software is in every lab or office):
