Global Europe Symposium

The Global Europe Symposium highlights the
research and internships of the eight MAIR students participating in the 2006
Global Europe Program. Students spent the past fall in Europe doing
internships and completing research relating to the EU. Students this year
will present their research on the following topics:
● Immigration and the New EU
● National Security & Democracy
● The Evolution of UN Systems
The symposium is open to all interested
faculty, students, staff and members of the community. It will be
held on Friday, January 26th in Eggers 220. Lunch will be served
at 12:00 noon and the presentations will run from 12:30 - 3:30 p.m.

About the Maxwell

One of fifteen European Union Centers in the United
States, funded by the European Commission, the Maxwell
European
Union Center of Excellence
aims to coordinate and extend the wide range of EU related activities
already going on at the Maxwell school. The Center is constructed around
four themes in transatlantic relations: Security Issues, Trade Issues,
Social Policy and Immigration, and Model of Governance in New Europe.
