Semester: Internships
Finding a good internship is like
finding a good job -- you need to start early and work at it. The
Maxwell School will provide you with the guidance you need to make
the most of your time in Washington. The International Relations
Program maintains a database with hundreds of exciting internships
in the Washington area. For assistance, contact the IR
Global Programs Coordinator, whether you're interested in
general internship guidelines, or in the requirements for an
internship for the International Relations program. In addition, the
Global Programs Coordinator offers students resume and cover letter
advice, a job search library, and access to many of the SU alumni
who work in the Washington area. From Washington, Professor
Schneider pursues leads, offers assistance, and describes what
various organizations do and where they are located.

Fall 2008 IR Washington Program Team
This
fall is an exciting time to be
in Washington, DC; with lots of important issues and heated debates,
not to mention the upcoming presidential election, these next couple
of months will prove to be an influential time in our nation's
history. The internship opportunities afforded to this cohort
will also play a role in steering the course of these students'
lives.
Each semester Syracuse University
brings a small group of competitively selected undergraduates to
Washington to participate in our Washington International Program.
We are pleased to announce that the following students have competed
successfully for admission to our fall 2008 IR Washington Semester
Program. They will each serve in a demanding internship, take a full
slate of courses in global
trade, global economy, global policy, and a traveling seminar around
the city of Washington to introduce them to the ways in which
international policy and US foreign policy is made. Join us in
congratulating the following students as they pursue their program
