2009 Global Programs
Application
While there are over twenty "Global
Programs" opportunities available through the International Relations
Program, only a select few are actually administered by the
International Relations Program, itself; the majority are administered
by SU Abroad, the University's study abroad office. SU Abroad has
an online application process accessible through their
website. Programs administered
by IR require that students complete the application form below.
This form is required for any student who is interested in participating
in any of the following global programs:
- War and the Liberal Conscience
(3-credits, spring course in London)
- African Development Seminar
(3-credits, Maymester course in DC)
- Latin America Policy Seminar
(3-credits, Maymester course in DC)
- DC Summer Practicum Program
(6-credits, summer course & internship in DC)
- Global Security & Development
Program (fall courses & internship in DC)
- Global Europe Program (fall course
& internship in Europe)
Admission to these programs is limited
due to class size and program resources and support. Program
Directors and, in some cases, a selection committee, are responsible for
reviewing applications and selecting candidates for admission. The
three central criteria for admission to these programs are relevance to
program of study, potential for successful participation, and
motivation. Please respond to the program information questions
carefully with these criteria in mind.
Application Instructions:
- The application form is available
online at the URL below. The application is a writeable .pdf
