familiarize yourself with the IR curriculum, program
requirements, and registration procedures.

Get ready to register on August 1st! Please
follow these instructions.

Send an updated resume via email to
global@maxwell.syr.edu.

Inform us via email of any change of
address over the summer. You can send any address changes to
irgradir@maxwell.syr.edu.

Create a personal bio to be published on our website.
We would like to have this bios page completed by the time you
arrive on campus. Please fill out the
bios form
as soon as possible.

Complete a brief
questionnaire for the Career Services Office to help them better
understand your needs and aspirations.

Graduate assistants only: If you are a domestic (US
citizen/permanent resident)graduate assistant, you will need to fill
out the following forms: (1)
Employment
Eligibility Verification, (2)
Form W-4, (3)
Demographic
Action Notice form (DAN) and
bring these forms over to Student Employment Services at 210 Steele
Hall. You will need to bring with you a valid passport or a
valid driver’s license and a social security card.
Once that is done, let Deanna Phillips know so she can put
you on system to receive your first paycheck on August 31.
If you are an international
Graduate Assistant,
go directly to the Slutzker Center for International Services upon
arrival, and they will assist you with the appropriate paperwork.
If you do not have a social security card, please come to the IR
Office first and pick up a student certification letter to bring to
the Slutzker Center.

All Graduate Assistants – International and Domestic should electronically
deposit your earnings: Please
download and fill out
Direct Deposit Request Form.
Attach a voided check to this form and bring it to Deanna
Phillips.

If you are an international student,
please report to the Slutzker Center for International Services upon
arrival. Also remember to attend the international student
orientation on 17 August. Details are on the
Sluzker Center website.

If you need health insurance for the coming year, you may wish to
consider options outlined by
Syracuse
University's Health Center.
