Ramazan Kilinc is a Post-doctoral Scholar and Visiting Assistant Professor in James Madison College at Michigan State University. He is also an affiliated faculty in the Muslim Studies Program of MSU. He received his Ph.D. in political science from Arizona State University in 2008. He is interested in those research questions that emerge at the intersection of comparative politics and international relations with a special focus on the role of religion in politics. He is currently working on his book manuscript, entitled History, Norms and State Policies toward Religious Minorities: France and Turkey. He has also published articles on Islamic social movements, Muslims in France and Europe, and religion and democratization.
