Where & When: Tuesday, November 10, 2009

Type of Activity: Lecture

Summary: Development practitioners have worked for a decade to sort out what a “rights-based” approach to development means, in practice, for development donors, transnational as well as domestic NGOs and policy makers. In this talk, Prof. Nelson examines the gaps between human rights standards and the MDGs, and argues that human rights-based goal-setting would advance the anti-poverty agenda.

Lunch will be served.
