"We couldn’t find religious bias in news coverage of the Supreme Court," co-authored by recent graduate Hailey Womer '22 B.A. (PSc) and Mark Brockway, faculty fellow in political science, was published in the Washington Post. The piece is based on Womer's honors distinction thesis which won Best Research Paper at Maxwell's Celebration of Undergraduate Scholarship in May.

Womer and Brockway analyzed media items from liberal and conservative outlets during the Amy Coney Barrett confirmation hearings to determine whether liberal outlets negatively represent justices' religions and found that conservative media mentioned Barrett's religion far more than liberal media.
