Maxwell's Policy Analysis and Public Management Training Program
Maxwell’s Executive Education Program and the Center for Public Policy at IIM Bangalore recently welcomed 114 Indian Administrative Service officers to an 8-week policy analysis and public management training program taking place in India and South Korea.
This year’s event, the second year Maxwell has offered this program, runs from April 20 to June 12. The program’s initial four weeks and final two weeks at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie bookends a two-week international visit to South Korea, which will be hosted by the Korea Development Institute.

Located in the foothills of the Himalayas, the LBSNAA represents a confluence of academic rigor and intellectual freedom. It is a place where participants with diverse qualifications and socio-educational backgrounds meet, interact, and learn from each other. As part of this program, the IAS officers are focusing on developing policy analysis and reports on issues related to agriculture, disaster management, health, inclusive growth (poverty alleviation & growth policy), infrastructure, education, employment, energy, public private partnerships, rural development, and urban development. There are also extra-curricular activities and side trips to various sites being planned for the weekends.
During the middle two weeks, participants will travel to Seoul to the KDI School of Public Policy and Management, which offers an innovative educational program focusing on policy and international issues and aims to transform mid-career professionals into leaders in their respective fields by equipping them with new knowledge, vision, and a global perspective. The KDI School also draws from a wealth of research and resources from the Korea Development Institute, the nation's leading economic think tank, to share Korea's unique development experience with the global community.
Participating Maxwell Public Administration faculty members include Peg Hermann; Catherine Gerard; Larry Schroeder; Yilin Hou; William Duncombe; Alasdair Roberts; David Van Slyke; Rosemary O’Leary; Peter Wilcoxen;
