CONVOCATION

MPA & EMPA CLASS OF 2007

 

When:

Friday, June 29 at 10:00 am.  Students meet at 9:30 am sharp on Maxwell steps (near the Lincoln courtyard) for group photo and alphabetical lineup.

 

 

Where:

Hendricks Chapel for ceremony (10 a.m.–noon)

Maxwell Patio and the Lincoln courtyard for a reception 12:00-1:30 p.m. (Maxwell Foyer in case of rain)

 

 

Guests:

You may invite as many guests as you wish.

 

 

Dress:

Professional dress is recommended (caps and gowns will not be worn).

Music:

An organist will play at the ceremony during the processional and recessional.

 

 

Reception:

A reception in your honor will immediately follow the convocation ceremony.

Hors d’oeuvres, iced tea and lemonade will be served on the Maxwell Patio.

Announcements:

Personal announcements may be ordered on your own. If interested, contact the SU Bookstore.

   
Photographer:

Bach Photo Images will be at the ceremony to take individual photos while receiving diplomas.  The class photo will be taken prior to the ceremony at 9:30 am on the Maxwell patio steps. You may also request personal photos at the reception.

Cost of photos:       8 X 10 - $ 10.00         5 X 7 - $ 8.00

Price includes shipping and handling.  Allow three weeks for delivery of prints (be sure to use your new mailing address on the order form!.

Order forms may be picked up in the PA office prior to Convocation. Be sure to leave your order form with the photographer on the day of convocation, as the staff in the PA office cannot accept your orders.

Note:   The photographer will also be available to take orders during the reception.

   
Parking:

All guests may park at no charge. Lot: Irving Garage.  If you have a family member who is handicapped, they may be dropped off between Eggers Hall and Hendricks Chapel (Q1), however no one will be permitted to park in the Quad One lot.  PLEASE, DO NOT CALL THE PARKING SERVICES OFFICE TO TRY TO ARRANGE PARING IN THE QI LOT.

Note:

You will not receive your diploma at the ceremony.  It will be mailed to you approximately six months after you graduate.
