ONE BEDROOM APARTMENT

Dear Incoming Students:
I have to give up my lovely 1 BR in the quaint Eastwood neighborhood to move back to the DC area so I'm looking for someone to take over the last two months of my lease (June, July) and then sign their own at the beginning of August.
Apartment is available furnished or unfurnished by owner, or even partially furnished, whatever you need is.
It's a 3rd floor apartment in a single family home with 4 other apartments in the building, all occupied by other graduate students.
Central gas heat is included in the rent and combined with the new windows keeps the apartment warm and cozy even on the coldest days.
Hardwood floors and fresh paint.  Washer and dryer in the building.
Off street parking area.  Safe and quiet residential neighborhood.
Easy ten minute or less drive to campus.
Beautiful vintage style kitchen with well maintained gas appliances.
1 Bedroom, 1 Bath, Kitchen, Living Room.  Backyard.
Cable/internet ready.  Four closets and a large kitchen pantry.
Landlord lives close by and full time handyman responds to any maintenance issues (though other than one blown fuse, I've never had any problems with the place).
I have had no pets, but the building allows cats.
Rent: $575 per month, includes gas and water.  Electricity has never been more than $25 per month.
Please feel free to contact me leparnell@gmail.com

One bedroom in a fabulous 2 bedroom apartment:

Hi. I am a PhD student in business policy, and am looking for a roommate for next year from July 2008. I live at Clarendon Height Apartments, perhaps one of the best apartment complexes in the campus area. The rooms are very spacious and the construction new. The apartment comes equipped with modern kitchen appliances, and I would be happy to share some of my furniture with you if need help in that respect. The complex is on the Nob Hills- SU bus route, but I personally prefer to walk for 30 minutes through the beautiful neighborhoods. Besides, there is a swimming pool and gymnasium at the complex. More information about the apartment is available at http://www.orangehousing.com/clarendonheights/index.html. All this comes at a very reasonable rent of $290 each (plus utilities). Value for money: you could not ask for better if you wanted! If interested, please email me at the soonest at punit@syr.edu

Thanks.

Punit

ONE BEDROOM

It's a 1BR in an old converted building with 7 other apartments. Here are some the details:

 * Large, spacious 1 BR, with living room, dining room, front porch, seperate entry

* High ceilings, gets great light!

* Storage space in the basement, along with coin-operated washer and dryer

* Off-street parking

* About 1.5 miles from Maxwell (about 30 minutes walk)

* Rent = $600, everything included except for electricity, which usually runs $33 for me (but I don't have a/c). And, you control your own heat (a nice thing if you like it toasty in the winter, like me)

* Interesting neighborhood - Hawley-Green is a neat area. It's different from the Westcott/University Hill area, and is a neighborhood that's "growing up". There are now two nice coffee shops, a local grocery store around the corner from the apartment, a LGBT-themed bookstore all within 5 minutes walking distance. About 15 minutes away, there is a strip mall area with a 24 hour Rite Aid, take out Chinese food, Subway restaurant and a couple of other places. I've really liked living here because it was different from the university area and felt like it was more in the city of Syracuse but not too far away.

I'm moving out after commencement that weekend, so although technically my last day in the apartment is June 30th, we could work something out since I know that is it the first day of classes!

Please let me know if you're interested and we can talk - bckouass@maxwell.syr.edu
When I came to find a place, I looked at 17 apartments, and have checked a number of places out for other people, so if you need advice in general, let me know how I can help!
