The Minnowbrook III preconference workshop ("Phase One") was
held at the Syracuse University Minnowbrook conference center in the Adirondacks
on September 3 -5, 2008. In the spirit of Dwight Waldo's first Minnowbrook
conference, it was a gathering of new scholars in the field. A professional facilitator
worked with this group of 56 to critique the current state of public
administration, public management, and public service today and examine the
future of the field. The new scholars' critiques and other work products
will be open access beginning the week of September 15.
