Helpful Hints For Visitors

Driving Directions to the Main Campus:
Syracuse University is most easily reached from Interstate 81. New York State Thruway travelers should exit at Interstate 81 (Thruway Exit 36) and proceed south. Both northbound and southbound travelers on Interstate 81 should exit at Adams Street (Exit 18.) Continue up the Adams Street hill to the third traffic light. Cross University Avenue and turn left into the University Avenue Garage. The entrance to main campus is one block up from the University Avenue Garage. Parking Information:

Free Parking: Visitors may park at no charge in the spaces indicated at Manley Field House along Comstock Avenue, a half - mile south of Main Campus. Free shuttle transportation is provided to and from this location to Main Campus. Shuttle service operates 7 a.m. to 3.a.m. seven days a week during the academic year when classes are in session. Please contact Parking and Transit Services at 443 - 4652 for the current schedule.
Metered Parking: Visitors may pay and park in the metered spaces outside of Flint/Day, Sadler and Brewster Boland Residence Halls. Meters must be paid 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays.
Visitor Parking Lots: Visitors may also pay and park in the Comstock, Marion, Irving Garage or University Avenue Garage visitor lots. Daily and hourly rates are available at these locations.
Visitor Permits: Visitor permits may be purchased in advance from the Parking and Transit Services office for Main Campus and Manley Field house.

Airport Information:
Syracuse Hancock International Airport is open 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. If you wish to contact the Department of Aviation, please call (315) 454-3263 between the hours of 7:55 and 5:05, Monday through Friday. If you have questions about a specific flight, please contact the airline with whom you are traveling. Taxi Information:
Century Transportation provides taxi and van service on an exclusive basis at Syracuse Hancock International Airport. Passengers requiring ground transportation service can register with Century at one of the dispatch areas located near each baggage claim location. These areas are staffed between the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. Century also offers a shuttle van service, which is an economical alternative for individuals traveling to the same location.
