CNY Speaks Initiative
PARC Professor Tina Nabatchi and Grant Reeher (Political Science) are collaborating with the Post Standard to promote local citizen deliberation and involvement in community issues.  PARC will train student facilitators for the CNY Speaks Initiative.

Congratulations to Fethi Keles!
Fethi has
been awarded a two year grant from the Zeit-Siftung Ebelin und Gerd Bucerius, A Germany-based foundation, to support his dissertation research. The award will provide financial support and incorporate him into the foundation’s program in migration studies called “Settling into Motion”.

   
 

Congratulations to Sue Senecah!
PARC faculty member Sue Senecah (SUNY-ESF) has accepted a one year position at the New York State Department of State as the statewide stakeholder involvement coordinator for ecosystem-based management of New York's Great Lakes and ocean. Sue Senecah will be on leave from SUNY ESF for the 08-09 academic year.

   
  Announcing the SECOND ANNUAL TEACHING CASE AND SIMULATION COMPETITION
Collaborative Public Management, Networks and Public Management, Collaborative Governance, and Collaborative Problem Solving.  Competition winners: $5,000 prize for the best teaching case, $5,000 for the best teaching simulation, and up to ten additional $1,000 honorable mention prizes!

Reflections seeks submissions from faculty, students, and community members on overcoming violence and building harmonious neighborhoods.  Submissions may be through personal narrative, academic analysis, community writing, photography, and artwork.
