The Maxwell School of Syracuse University
PROGRAM ON THE ANALYSIS AND RESOLUTION OF CONFLICTS
VISITING FELLOW PROGRAM
PLEASE NOTE:
We are not accepting applications at this time.
The Program on the Analysis and Resolution of Conflicts (PARC)
at the Maxwell School of Syracuse University welcomes
applications for our visiting fellow program. Fellows
should be scholars in one of the areas represented by the five
pillars of PARC: collaborative governance, environmental
conflicts, transnational conflicts, activism and advocacy, or
conflict resolution/collaborative problem solving education.
Fellows conduct research and write in their areas of interest while interacting with PARC faculty, staff and students, and with the broader Maxwell School and Syracuse University community. Visiting fellows host a brown bag talk early in their residence. PARC furnishes junior fellows with a stipend up to $20,000 per semester plus up to $5,000 in housing assistance; senior fellows receive up to $25,000 per semester plus up to $5,000 in housing assistance. Fellows have an office, library access, communications links, and document retrieval services. Publications that result from research or writing conducted at PARC should acknowledge the visiting fellows program.
A complete application consists of the two-page application form (below); a Curriculum Vitae; a research proposal (maximum ten pages), plus a bibliography; and two letters of recommendation. Selection criteria include evidence of academic excellence, engagement with themes relevant to PARC, and anticipation of lively participation in the intellectual life of PARC.
Applications at the pre-doctoral, post-doctoral, and senior scholar level will be considered. Fellowships begin at the start of the Syracuse University semester and are for one semester.
