 Ph.D. Students- 

Yujin CYujin Choihoi is a Ph.D. candidate in Public Administration.  She is from Seoul, Republic of Korea.  Yu Jin's studies focus on the collaborative public management and performance management as well as diversity management.  She works with Rosemary O’Leary in the Program for the Advancement of Research on Conflict and Collaboration (PARCC) and is a Teaching Assistant for PARCC Director Catherine Gerard for PPA 895 Managerial Leadership. Drew HarrisDrew Harris is a Ph.D. student in the Social Science program.  His research interests focus on the mechanisms of civic education, particularly in the field of conflict resolution. He is interested in seeing how the concept of citizenship is formed and engaged within the normative framework of identity politics. Drew works with Professor Tina Nabatchi in PARCC.  Contact

Vadym Pyrozhenko is a Ph.D. candidate in Public Administration.  His research interests are social movements, knowledge production, and public administration. Prior to his attending the Maxwell school, Vadym worked as a manager in both business companies and one non-profit organization in Ukraine. He is the Director of the Conflict Management Center (CMC) http://sites.maxwell.syr.edu/cmc/ of PARCC.  Contact  

    

 

Paloma Raggo is a PhD candidate in political science. Her research lies at the Paloma Raggointersection of international relations, public administration and management studies. Her dissertation focuses on the accountability practices across 152 U.S based transnational NGOs and their accountability performance. She is involved in several projects related to accountability, NGO governance and the use of social media in nonprofit organizations.  Contact    

Anya Stanger 
Anya Stanger is a Ph.D. student in Social Science.   Her research is focused on peace education and specifically, in the ways in which alternatives to violence may be taught and learned.  Her research uses elements from peace studies and nonviolence, feminist, and critical theory as lenses through which to study possibilities for change.  Anya works with John Burdick and studies prisoners of conscience.  As last year’s CMC Director, she is still affiliated with the CMC and is publishing a paper with Professor Tina Nabatchi.  Tamara Cheng is in the MPA/IR program. She works Forest Policy and Economic Development in Vietnam with Research Professor in Environmental Policy Paul Hirsch, working to apply conceptual framework for negotiating environmental conservation and economic development.  Contact

Nakisha Duncan is in the MA-IR program.  She is the student coordinator for the Conversations in Conflict Studies Series, a weekly lunchtime “conversation” open to all community members that allow faculty, students and staff to present works-in-progress, or discuss particular topics of interest to them.  She works with PARCC director, Catherine Gerard.  Contact
