Research Interests and Current Projects:
Christopher J. Anderson is Professor of Political Science and Director of the
Maxwell European Union Center. His interests include comparative political
behavior and political economy; political legitimacy and trust; and citizens and
the economy. His research has been published in the leading journals of the
field, such as the American Political Science Review, American Journal of
Political Science, Journal of Politics, British Journal of Political Science,
and Comparative Political Studies, among others. Author of Losers' Consent:
Elections and Democratic Legitimacy (Oxford University Press, 2005), Professor
Anderson is the winner of the American Political Science Association's Heinz
Eulau Award for the best article published in the American Political Science
Review and the recipient of the Emerging Scholar Award given by the APSA
Organized Section on Elections, Public Opinion, and Voting Behavior to the top
young scholar in the field. He currently serves on the editorial boards of the
American Journal of Political Science, Electoral Studies, and European Union
Politics.
