Current Research Projects:
Bruce Dayton researches and teaches in the fields of conflict studies, crisis
management, and environmental politics. He has been active in community-based
advocacy work and was a practitioner with the Boston-based Center for Policy
Negotiation. At the Moynihan Institute Dayton heads a project to evaluate the
impact of third-party interventions on intractable identity-based conflicts. He
also co-directs the Institute’s Transnational Crisis Management Project and is a
member of the Institute’s NSF-funded Transnational NGO research team. Dayton
serves as the Executive Director of the International Society of Political
Psychology (ISPP), an international organization representing all field of
inquiry concerned with exploring the relationship between political and
psychological processes.
