Research Interests:

Current research projects focus on the role of information technology in the transformation of governments and the governance process, and she continues an interest in the ways in which gender identity affects political participation. Her past research has been funded by the Fund for Research on Dispute Resolution and the National Institute for Dispute Resolution. She teaches courses in the areas of international relations, information technology policy, gender and politics, and political conflict.

Terrell A. Northrup is assistant professor of International Relations and adjunct assistant professor of Political Science. She is also Director of Programs for Maxwell’s Information and Computing Technology group. She is a co-author of a book on intractable conflicts and several articles on the role of identity in ethnic and gender conflicts.
