Jeremy Johnson, (M.A. '03) has been a Peace Corps volunteer in Nong Khai, Thailand, for nearly two years. He was sworn into the Community-Based Organizational Development project to provide community development assistance at the most local level of government.

Alia Nankoe, (MAIR '02) Gender Based Violence Capacity Development Coordinator for UNFPA's Humanitarian Response Branch, is training community-based health workers in Velingara, Senegal.

John Linsley, (MAIR '08) intern with the International Organization for Migration, implements education projects for trafficked children in the Cape Coast region of Ghana.

 Geographer Craig Colten , (Ph.D. Geo ‘84) in a recent book about land use in New Orleans, was among those who predicted the tragic results of Hurricane Katrina.

Rachel Roberts, (MPA ’05, MAIR ’05), a consultant for Hagerty Consulting, Inc., assisting with FEMA’s post-Hurricane Katrina recovery efforts in Mississippi.

Chris Malagisi

Chris Malagisi, (MPA, '04) Director of Political & Online Training at The Leadership Institute (LI) has aided in the campaigns of George W. Bush, Fred Thompson, John McCain, and George Allen. He is also the President and Principal Founder of the Young Conservatives Coalition (YCC) and an adjunct professor at American University.

Pratyaya Amrit

Pratyaya Amrit (top & center), an Alumnus of Maxwell's training program in Mussoorie, led a massive rescue and relief effort for Bihar's Disaster Management Department after a flood displaced 2 million people in August. Following the relief efforts, India's CNN-IBN network jointly nominated Amrit and a colleague as Indian of the Year in public service. Amrit works within the Indian Administrative Service.

Jennifer Cooper

Jennifer Cooper, (MPA ’99) worked as Deputy Field and Get-Out-The-Vote (GOTV) Organizer for First Americans for Obama-Biden ’08 with David Axelrod, one of Obama’s closest advisors. Jennifer was based out of Carson City, the Capital of Nevada, one of only seven or so swing states.

Sandeep Silas 1

Sandeep Silas, a graduate of the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, is the forerunner of an initiative called "Garland of Peace". He conceived this singular plan about five years ago. One of its main goals is to "Declare War Ruins as Peace Heritage Sites".
