EMIR in DC
The EMIR in DC will be launched in the spring semester of 2018. We are still accepting applications on a rolling basis for this inaugural cohort.
After this initial class, applicants may apply to enter the program at any time, starting in fall, spring, or summer semesters. As such, applications are processed on a rolling basis. However, it is best to submit applications for the 2018 summer or fall semesters by February 1, and for the 2019 spring semester by August 15.

A complete application includes all of the following:
1) A completed Syracuse University graduate school application
3) Personal statement – this includes your background and why you wish to complete the EMIR
4) Official transcripts – from graduate and undergraduate studies
5) 3 letters of recommendation
6) Application fee - $75.00 US (non- refundable)
7) TOEFL score: 92-93 (internet-based test), 580 (written test), 237 (computer-based test) minimum for unconditional admission
Note: GRE Scores are optional. The Admissions Committee reviews applications considering the unique characteristics and experience of each applicant. GRE scores are not required to apply; however,
students with valid GRE scores are encouraged to submit them as part of their

Applicants must have 7 or more years of professional experience, including management responsibilities that demonstrate increasing levels of supervision of projects and personnel.
Applicants may request transfer of up to 6 credits of graduate-level coursework completed at an accredited graduate institution. If you plan to transfer credits towards your EMIR degree you can start the process once you have been admitted to the program. If your decision to enroll in the program depends on the credit transfer, your advisor will be able to tell you in advance whether the transfer request will be approved.
