PARCC Conversations in Conflict Studies presents Ken Harper

International Media and NGOs: Humility, Partnership, and Meaningful Impacts."  Guest Speaker: Ken Harper, Associate Professor, Multimedia Photography & Design; Director, Newhouse Center for Global Engagement, S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, Syracuse University. He will discuss the importance of humility when addressing the challenges and benefits of building long-term relationships using past media and visual projects. Professor Harper is the first director of the Newhouse Center for Global Engagement. The program is dedicated to bringing knowledge to the world through storytelling, collaboration and innovation. Harper’s role in the Center stems from his long history in working internationally and he is now sharing that passion by bringing the classroom into the world and the world into the classroom. 

 

Conversations in Conflict Studies is a weekly educational speaker series for students, faculty, and the community. The series, sponsored by PARCC, draws its speakers from Syracuse University faculty, national and international scholars and activists, and PhD students.
