  the US\nrepresentative to the Mideast Quartet\, the director of the Iraq 
 Reconstruction\nManagement Office\, and the coordinator of international a
 nd US assistance to\nAfghanistan. He also served as the coordinator of US 
 assistance to the former\nUSSR and Eastern Europe. Earlier in his career T
 aylor served on the staff of\nSen. Bill Bradley. He is a West Point Gradua
 te\, holds an MA from Harvard\, and\nserved as an infantry officer in Viet
