  social network analysis\, material culture\,&nbsp\;and Indigenous studies
  methods to argue that Haudenosaunee women used clothing to protect&nbsp\;
 their nations’ sovereignty. She is the co-author of a new textbook on Amer
 ican women’s history&nbsp\;in addition to several articles on material cul
 ture and Indigenous history\, and her current project&nbsp\;examines how o
 bjects are used to construct race\, gender and nationhood in&nbsp\;commemo
 rations of the American Revolution. Her work has been supported by the&nbs
 p\;Mellon Foundation\, the National Endowment for the Humanities\, the New
  York&nbsp\;Historical Society\, and the American Philosophical Society\, 
 and she is a member of the&nbsp\;Organization for American Historians Dist
 inguished Lecturer Program.
