 dies Program (MESP) will grant up to 3 awards (in the range of $1\,000 eac
 h) to Maxwell PhD and MA candidates from any discipline to support field r
 esearch in the Middle East during the summer of 2015.\; Any student enroll
 ed in a PhD or MA program at Syracuse University may apply.The awards can 
 be used to undergo advanced language training\, gather data and increase c
 ompetitiveness of future proposals for funding.&nbsp\;The awards are compe
 titive\, and proposals will be evaluated on the basis of (i) originality a
 nd significance of the proposed research/study\, (ii) organization and cla
 rity of the proposal\, (iii) appropriateness and feasibility of the resear
 ch/study plan in relation to the students background and qualifications\, 
 and (iv) cost effectiveness.You may apply for more than one summer grant f
 rom the Moynihan Institute\, but you will not receive more than one in a g
 iven year. Other types of support that could exclude you from receiving a 
 summer research grant include summer FLAS funding\, summer de Sardon-Glass
  support\, and other types of summer support from the Moynihan Institute. 
 Awards are ranked separately\, so if your proposal is accepted by more tha
