DESCRIPTION:Social science is undergoing a transparency revolution.\nFunder
 s\, journals\, other researchers\, and the public increasingly expect\nres
 earch data and methods to be shared.&nbsp\;\nIn this practical workshop\, 
 you will learn how to plan your research\nfrom the beginning to be able to
  meet such demands.&nbsp\; We will focus on key considerations for data\nm
 anagement of social science projects such as organization\, documentation 
 and\nmetadata\, data security\, and participant confidentiality. Relatedly
 \, we will\ndiscuss how to approach informed consent with human participan
 ts in the context\nof data sharing and will present informed consent templ
 ates to use as a\nstarting point. Additionally\, we will review various on
 - and off-campus\nresource data professionals and organizations which coul
 d be of assistance in\nthe process of planning and implementing one’s data
  management. \n\n&nbsp\;\n\nAll members of the SU community are welcome\, 
 although the\nevent is geared toward students and faculty currently prepar
 ing grant\napplications (internal or external) for projects that include e
 mpirical data\ncollection involving human participants. \n\n&nbsp\;\n\nLun
