  Middle Eastern Studies and Political Psychology from the Hebrew Universit
 y\, and his dissertation topic was “The role of external incentives in pro
 moting peace: the cases of Israel and Turkey”. Goren was a 2009-10 Hubert 
 Humphrey Fellow at the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs of
  Syracuse University. Previously\, he was the Executive Director of the Yo
 ung Israeli Forum for Cooperation\, and worked at the Harry S Truman Resea
 rch Institute for the Advancement for Peace\, the Jerusalem Institute for 
 Israel Studies and the Levtzion Center for Islamic Studies. Goren was the 
 recipient of the 2009 Victor J. Goldberg IIE Prize for Peace in the Middle
  East\, and is a frequent commentator on Turkish affairs in the Israeli me
 dia.
