The pandemic\nhas further impacted our economies and societies especially in the South Asian\nregion.  \;As we move towards a decade of action\, these sustainable\ndevelopment challenges need to be met in t he region while capitalizing on\navailable opportunities that lie ahead be fore South Asian economies. This talk\nwill focus upon the unique nature o f the sustainability challenges at the\nglobal level with special focus on South Asia \; Professor Narula will\npresent the case of SDG 2 (End H unger) to explain the vulnerability of\ncommunities towards the challenges of food security and nutrition and the need\nfor innovative solutions bac ked with indigenous cultural knowledge as a means\nto achieve potential su ccess.
