 EMPA candidate This Peer to Peer presentation will provide an overview of 
 the structure and interactions among federal\, state and local government 
 as it relates to funding\, jurisdiction\, sovereignty and basic jurisprude
 nce. The complex interdependence of governments in the United States is a 
 delicate balance that is constantly changing. However\, fundamental philos
 ophical arguments about where power resides in government and justice are 
 still debated today. The discussion will also review how these relationshi
 ps are structured and maintained. Mr. Travis Glazier has a detailed backgr
 ound in political campaign management and currently is Director of Intergo
 vernmental Relations for Onondaga County. He currently works with area mun
 icipalities to promote the County’s consolidation efforts on various level
 s. Mr. Glazier joins Maxwell to pursue an EMPA degree with an interest in 
 leadership\, public administration\, consensus building and metropolitan g
 overnment. When: Wednesday\, April 11\, 2012 Where: 204 Maxwell Hall Time:
  11:30 am – 12:30 pm Peer to Peer is a series for Executive Masters in Pub
 lic Administration students to share issues\, problems or successes with t
 heir fellow students. Each student guest speaker will speak for about 20-3
 0 minutes and then we will have a 20-30 minute discussion time. This event
  is open to all students. Lunch will be provided at the start of the event
