  map topics\, and increase competitiveness of future proposals for funding
 . The awards are competitive and proposals are judged on the basis of (i) 
 quality of the proposed research\, (ii) organization and thoughtfulness of
  the proposal\, and (iii) appropriateness and feasibility of the research
