 ol\, she was an assistant and associate professor of political science at 
 Arizona State University\, where she taught from 1995–2008. Elman received
  her Ph.D. and M.Phil. in political science from Columbia University and c
 ompleted her B.A. in International Relations at the Hebrew University of J
 erusalem. Elman is the editor and co-editor of five books and the author a
 nd co-author over 50 journal articles\, book chapters and reports on topic
 s related to international and national security\, IR theory\, the interfa
 ce between religion and politics\, and Middle East war and peace. &nbsp\;H
 er latest books are Democracy and Conflict Resolution: The Dilemmas of Isr
 ael’s Peacemaking (Syracuse University Press\, 2013)\, co-edited with Oded
  Haklai and Hendrik Spruyt and Jerusalem: Conflict and Cooperation in a Co
 ntested City (Syracuse University Press\, 2014)\, co-edited with Madelaine
  Adelman. Elman’s research has been supported by the US Department of Educ
 ation\, Arizona State University’s Center for the Study of Religion and Co
 nflict (CSRC)\, and Harvard University’s Belfer Center for Science and Int
 ernational Affairs (BCSIA)\, where she was an International Security Fello
 w from 1995–1996 and from 1998-2000. Elman serves on the &nbsp\;Advisory B
 oards of The Center on American and Global Security (CAGS) at Indiana Univ
 ersity\; Blue White Future\, an Israel-based NGO devoted to achieving an I
 sraeli-Palestinian peace based on the two-state solution\; and MITVIM—The 
 Israeli Institute for Regional Foreign Policies. Elman is an avid blogger 
 and her op-eds have been featured in The Times of Israel\, The Post Standa
 rd\, and The Jewish Observer among other online and print media outlets. I
 n Syracuse\, Elman serves on the design team of Interfaith Works and is a 
 member of SAMED (Syracuse Area Middle East Dialogue)\, a thirty year old p
