 recent developments in northern Syria has been insufficient. \n\n\n\nIn th
 is respect\, a panel of experts\, under\nProf. Yüksel Sezgin’s moderation\

 e context of civil war in Syria? \n\nWhat\nhave been the changing policy p

  Cagaptay is the Beyer Family fellow and director of\nthe&nbsp\;Turkish Re
 search Program&nbsp\;at The Washington Institute. He has\nwritten extensiv
 ely on U.S.-Turkish relations\, Turkish domestic politics\, and\nTurkish n
 ationalism\, publishing in scholarly journals and major international\npri
 nt media\,&nbsp\;including the&nbsp\;Wall Street Journal\,&nbsp\;Washingto
 n Post\,&nbsp\;New York Times\,&nbsp\;Foreign Affairs\, and&nbsp\;The\nAtl
 antic. He appears regularly on Fox News\, CNN\, NPR\, BBC\, and\nCNN-Turk.
  His latest book\,&nbsp\;Erdogan's Empire: Turkey and the Politics of the\
 nMiddle East\, was\npublished in September 2019 by I.B. Tauris.&nbsp\;\n\n
  \nDr. Aaron Stein is the Director of the Middle East Program and a 2019 T
 empleton Fellow\nat the Foreign Policy Research Institute. Previously\, Dr
 . Stein was a resident\nsenior fellow of the Atlantic Council\, where he m
 anaged their Turkey-related\nresearch program\, oversaw work on nonprolife
 ration in the Middle East with a\nfocus on Iran\, and researched non-state
  actors in the Middle East\, with a\nparticular focus on Kurdish groups in
  Syria and Iraq. He is the author of Turkey's New Foreign Policy:\nDavutog
 lu\, the AKP\, and the Pursuit of Regional OrderWhitehall Papers\, 2015).
