 \, black\, Indigenous and feminist politics\, LBGQ+\, religion\, and the\n
 environment to explore racial politics across the Americas. Dr. Burdick’s 
 work\ndefies neat conceptual categories but according to Howard Winant\, B
 urdick was\nan anti-racist activist\, feminist and student of the Afro Dia
 spora who opened\nnew ways of thinking about black cultural formations\, i
 dentity\, and\nresistance.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;The symposium seeks to makes sense
  of the new racial\nprojects unfolding across the Americas&nbsp\;and explo
 re&nbsp\;Dr. Burdick's work and contributions from a hemispheric\nperspect
