DESCRIPTION:\n\nThe\nconflict in the Middle East is spreading. Inclusive po
 litical\nnegotiations for sustainable peace in post-conflict societies can
 \nonly be\nreached with the support of different stakeholders.\nThis\ncoll
 aborative research on the Kurdish women’s movement in Turkey investigates\
 nthe intersection between gender-based mobilization and\npeace activism\;
 more specifically the role peace activism plays during\npolitical negotiat
 ions and how national needs and the development of women’s\nrights are per
 ceived by different women and men. The research was conducted at four\nfie
 ldwork sites (Diyarbakir\, Istanbul\, Berlin and\nLondon) where experience
 s and views of Kurdish and Turkish women peace\nactivists\, politicians\,
 feminist activists\, and ‘peace mothers’ in Turkey and\nin the diaspora we
 re recorded. \n\n\n\nDr.\nLatif Tas&nbsp\; is an Assistant\nProfessor and
