After\nbeing elected as MP for Dumfriesshire\, Clydesdale and Tweeddale in 2005\, he was\nmade Shadow Secretary of State for Scotland a nd a member of David Cameron’s\nShadow Cabinet. Mundell worked as a solici tor before joining BT as Group Legal\nAdvisor for Scotland in 1991. He bec ame BT Scotland’s head of national affairs\,\nremaining with BT until beco ming an MSP.
