 r Scotland in May 2015. He was elected as the Conservative\nMP for Dumfrie
 sshire\, Clydesdale and Tweeddale in May 2005. Mundell attended\nLockerbie
  Academy in Lockerbie\, before going on to study law at the University\nof
  Edinburgh and gaining a Diploma in Legal Practice. He also received an MB
 A\nfrom the University of Strathclyde Business School. Mundell was elected
  to the\nScottish Parliament in 1999 and 2003 as a list MSP for the South 
 of Scotland. After\nbeing elected as MP for Dumfriesshire\, Clydesdale and
  Tweeddale in 2005\, he was\nmade Shadow Secretary of State for Scotland a
 nd a member of David Cameron’s\nShadow Cabinet. Mundell worked as a solici
 tor before joining BT as Group Legal\nAdvisor for Scotland in 1991. He bec
 ame BT Scotland’s head of national affairs\,\nremaining with BT until beco
 ming an MSP. He was a councillor in Annandale and\nEskdale from 1984 to 19
 86 and served on Dumfries and Galloway council for\nanother year until 198
 7\, while a student. He is a member of the Law Society and\nWriters to the
