  in the Memory and Aging Center at the University of California\, San Fran
 cisco. Dr. Wells’ research examines how emotion in close relationships sha
 pes mental and physical health. Her work focuses on individuals caring for
  loved ones with neurodegenerative disease\, identifying factors that infl
 uence caregivers’ vulnerability and resilience. She also studies positive 
 interpersonal processes and their links to long-term health and well-being
