 unces the competition for the Bharati Memorial Award for the summer of 201
 5 (or AY 2015-16) for grants leading to doctoral dissertation research. St
 udents in PhD programs in the Maxwell School are preferred. Students in ot
 her programs may apply\, and we will fund if other funding becomes availab
 le. We are especially interested in supporting pre-dissertation research\,
  although short-term dissertation research can be supported. We anticipate
  awarding 1-5 grants for 2015. Only projects concerning South Asia are eli
 gible.&nbsp\;Previous recipients of this or other grants awarded through t
 he Moynihan Institute of Global Affairs are eligible\, but not top priorit
 y.Grants will range from $500 to a maximum of $1500.You may apply for more
  than one summer grant from the Moynihan Institute\, but you will not rece
 ive more than one in a given year.&nbsp\;Other types of support that could
  exclude you from receiving a summer research grant include summer FLAS\, 
 summer de Sardon-Glass support\, and any other summer support from the Moy
 nihan Institute.&nbsp\; Awards are ranked separately\, so if your proposal
